Rochon is the daughter of Zelma Staples and Samuel Staples. She was born in Torrance, Los Angeles, to Zelma Staples as well as Samuel Staples. Ullerup's debut role was of Julia Brynn on the remake television series of Battlestar Galactica in 2006, which aired on the Sci Fi Channel. The first two seasons on Sanctuary, she was Ashley Magnus until the character was eliminated. The reason for her departure led to heated discussion among viewers. Many wanted to bring her back on the show in a subsequent episodes, but the show was terminated in the year 2012. Ullerup played the role of Bree O'Brien on Chesapeake Shores in 2016. Ullerup portrayed Maggie Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact, the movie about the 2015 disaster. Ullerup played Dale Travers, a recurring actor in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films, from 2016 to present.
