Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American actor
from America. Her roles include daytime television guests, occasional guest
performances as well as TV-produced movies. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime
Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap drama General
Hospital. Since 2013, she's played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap the show The
Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist
professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her family later relocated
to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until the time of the divorce of her parents] she
moved with her brother and father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970.
However, when Sofer was five years old, they remained in Western Pennsylvania.
They were brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels
Jewish Center. Then, she went to the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey,
which is a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was born in
North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi at Temple Beth El. After
graduation from North Bergen High School she was a student at Montclair State
College. Sofer began her career as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. She
first appeared in 1993 as a manager for a band. Her first role on television
was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap opera host. The most well-known role she
has played is her appearance in General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15,
1993 - September 24 1996). She later returned to the series as a guest-star
(February 7 1997 to September 30 September 30, 1997 October 2 1997 until
October 2 1997). Sofer was given an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding
Supporting Artistress in Drama Series for her performance as Lois. Sofer was
invited to join CBS' soap show The Bold and the Beautiful as the newly-created
character as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired July 12. Sofer has been a
guest actor or guest in a variety of prominent prime-time TV shows, including
Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also appeared in The Chronicle, Ed and Friends.
