Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born Los Angeles,
California to Quincy Jones, a media mogul and producer, and Peggy Lipton,
Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Kidada
Jones is her older sibling. Five half-siblings are born from her father's other
relationships. Her father is African American and her mother is Ashkenazi
Jewish (a descendant emigrants from Russia as well as Latvia). Rashida was born
into Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los Angeles. Jones admitted
that Jones' parents were mixed race and were not acceptable to her during the
1970s. Jones was a professional actor when she made her debut on The Last Don,
a 1997 mini-series based on the novel written by Mario Puzo. Rashida was also a
Harvard University graduate in 1997. Took a course at the Buckley School,
Sherman Oaks, California. Voted the Most Likely to Succeed. The name she uses
is Arabic (O+-O'UO-O(c)) for "Major adult, mature older or wise".

Hartnett, Charlie Hunnam, and John Krasinski. Kidada Jones was her sister's
engagement ring bearer and was a vocalist for a Tupac Shakur tribute track.
Kidada as well as Rashida were created by Quincy Jones III, the brother of
Quincy Jones III. Quincy Jones III was also present during the introduction and
read the lines from the poem by Shakur "Starry Night." The title of
the song is named after the poem. Rashida is African-American and has lesser
English, Scottish, or Welsh ancestry than his mother (some of his African ancestors
came from the Tikar tribe of Cameroon). Her mother, Rashida, is Ashkenazi
Jewish (of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent). Her maternal
grandparents come from South Carolina and Mississippi. Her maternal grandfather
was born in New York, and her maternal grandmother was born in Dublin, Ireland,
of Eastern European Jewish origin. As of the end of 2009, she was playing three
characters under the title "Karen" on cult classic comedy shows on TV
(Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella (2005) and The Office (2005)).
