Bonnie Wright
Bonnie Francesca Wright, born 17 February 1991 was an English actress. She is also an actor, director, activist as well as an actress. Wright is most famous for her role in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She was in the role for 10 years before moving on to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Wright played in a number of independent films like Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films received mixed reviews. Wright was the stage's first lead actress in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from University of the Arts London in 2012 with an undergraduate diploma in filmmaking. In 2012, Wright launched BonBonLumiere and began making short films. She directed her debut film which was a coming-of-age drama Separate We Come and Separate We Go (2012). It was released at Cannes Film Festival to great praise from critics. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016) starring Christian Coulson and Sextant (2016). Both films featured emotions and landscapes as the main themes. Wright's trilogy, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs was released by Wright. The show is based on A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She has directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright has gained recognition as an environmental activist; she also serves as an ambassador for charities Greenpeace and Lumos.
