Mila Kunis Bio
Mila Kunis was baptized Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) on August 14, 1983. Kunis, seven years old, immigrated to the United States along with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. She eventually settled in Los Angeles. It was not an easy start for the Kunis family, who came to their new home having just $250. Kunis parents decided to quit their careers to relocate and were determined to give their children a better life. Mark was a mechanical engineer, soon was employed as a taxi driver, and Elvira was a teacher of Physics in Ukraine, wound up running an establishment for pharmacy. "I didn't understand the culture," Kunis has said when she first arrived in the United States. "I didn't know the people. I was not conversant in the language. The first sentence in my essay to get into college was like, 'Imagine being blind and deaf at age seven.' That's what it felt like moving into the States. However, I was able to get over it in a short time." Milena Markovna Kunis, the daughter of Mark Kunis and Elvira Chernivtsi in Ukraine was born on August 14th in 1983. Her elder brother is also hers. Her mother works as a teacher of physics and runs a pharmacy. Her father, who is a mechanical engineer by trade, doubles as a driver for cabs. Her family is of Jewish descent.The family relocated Los Angeles when she was seven years old. Rosewood Elementary was her school. When she was nine-years-old she started acting lessons. She was a commercial auditionee, and made her TV debut in 1994 with her first role in Days of Our Lives. She landed her first big role in 1998, playing Jackie Burkhart on the hit sitcom 'That's 70s Show'. After receiving rave reviews, she was asked to play the role of Meg Griffin on animated sitcom 'Family Guy.
