Markie Post
Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek, California. She began her career in productions for television and film such as "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Later, she produced such projects as Double Dare (1976). She has also been featured on television shows like 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001) as well as Dyna Girl (2001). Perhaps her biggest TV part was "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992 she was featured in 156 episodes. She was the daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet and noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7 in 2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 June 26, 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). She was born in Palo Alto in California and was raised in Walnut Creek. As cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She performed trick roping at The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were later returned home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post died three months following her 71st Birthday, August 7 2021. She passed away just 27 days after her fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed at the age of 11 on July 11, 2021. Even though the two shows were completely separate, Night Court (1984) ended in 1992 , with her character Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) was released later that year , with Post portraying a brand new character Georgie Lahti. The character happened to be working in Washington DC (and later moving to a more rural town).
