Lea Katherine Thompson

Thompson was born on May 31, 1961 in Rochester, Minnesota,[ one of five children born to Clifford Thompson and Barbara Barry Thompson, a musician. Thompson is the sibling of Coleen Goodrich, Shannon Katona and Barry Katona. Her mother is Irish. Mikhail baryshnikov was then at the time the artistic director. He told her "You are a beautiful dancer but your body is too big." This was her "epiphany", when she revealed that this was that moment that caused me to stop dancing and quit being the ballet dancer. It was an amazing moment since I could have been banging my head against the wall for 10 years. "She changed her focus on acting. At the age of 20, she relocated to New York with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elisabeth Shue and a few others from Burger King ads. In 1982, CareerThompson starred in Cecily "Sissy" in the live-action game dubbed MysteryDisc: Murder! Anyone? and also her debut film in 1983, in Jaws 3D. She recalled the film as "the very first movie I ever got, but I had lied and said that I had done some other films and when I turned up, I was really the basics of. In addition, I'd said that I was able to water ski. I wasn't. I had to learn water-skiing techniques that were extremely difficult in five days as I needed to take part in the Sea World water skiing show. I don’t even know the way that swimming works!" The singer followed this up with All the Right Moves (1983), Red Dawn (1984), and The Wild Life (1984).
